A homemaker by trade, Lois was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing, Hibbing Historical Society, 1st Settlers, and French Club. She volunteered with PTA at Assumption School and celebrated life with her dinner club, and the HAs. Her pastimes included cooking, fishing and golfing.
Lois is survived by her daughters: Jill Marette, and Geralyn (Bob) Fortney, four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and her beloved sister-in-law, Della Lundquist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Sadie Gallagher; husband, Louis Genise in 2010; infant daughter; son, Jack Genise; and sisters: Dorothy Priley and Margaret Gimbel.
Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.
