Hanston - Kenneth R. Cure, 74, passed away September 19, 2015 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore. He was born March 12, 1941 in Dodge City, Kansas; the son of Earl and Johanna Hoffman Cure. A lifetime area resident, he was a Teacher, Coach and Farmer.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus all of Hanston; he graduated from St. Mary of the Plains college and loved farming, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include: five brothers, James Cure and wife Coleen, Anthony Cure and wife Bonnie and Daniel Cure, all of Hanston, and Dr. Thomas Cure and wife Kay, Lenexa, Francis Cure, Pueblo, Colorado; a sister, Mary Bohnen and husband Jerry, Yukon, Oklahoma; seventeen nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews..

He was preceded in death by, his parents.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Hanston, with Father Maurice Cummings officiating. Vigial service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church, Hanston. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Hanston, with military graveside rites.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Anthony Catholic Church or the American Lung Association both in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, PO Box. 663, Jetmore, KS 67854.
