END COMES SUDDENLY FOR CO. PIONEER Death this morning claimed another one of the county's pioneer farmers when Wencel Rous of Kellnersville passed away at Holy Family hospital at 10 o'clock. Mr. Rous was admitted to the hospital only last night and had been ill but two days, his death coming suddenly.
Born in Austria seventy-four years ago, Mr. Rous came to this country at the age of twenty-four locating on a farm at Franklin which he conducted for the greater part of his life. He retired from farming ten years ago. Mrs. Rous has been dead for fifteen years.
He leaves six daughters, Mrs. John Buran and Mrs. Anton Yindra, Manitowoc; Mrs. Anna Beily, Franklin; Mrs. Charles Rezek, Melnik; Mrs. Wencel Reznichek, Rief's Mills and Mrs. Joseph P. Opichka, Two Rivers. There are also twenty-four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from the Rezek home at Melnik at 9 o'clock Monday morning and at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's church at Kellnersville. Manitowoc Herald News Friday, August 10, 1923 pg. 1
