Adkins, Gary R. Sr.,

age 64, passed away Saturday at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

He was a native of New Albany, IN and was a retired printer for the Courier Journal, Louisville, KY. His first love was his family and then came fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty C. (Ledbetter) Adkins; a son, Gary R. Adkins , Jr. (Nicki), Arizona; a daughter, Lisa C. Mowery (Wayne), New Albany, IN; five grandchildren; father-in-law, Clyde Ledbetter, New Albany, IN; and his best friend of 60 years, Larry Robinson, Brooks, KY.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Adkins; and his mother, Violet Tomes.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM at the Market Street Chapel/Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, 1119 East Market Street, New Albany, IN. His Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM immediately following the visitation.

Interment will be Private.

Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Department of Natural Resources Foundation.
