Bessie Elvis Buracker, 101, of Luray, died on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1914, in Madison and was a daughter of the late Click Cave and Lilly Obelia Cave.

Mrs. Buracker was a member of the Harvest Pentecostal Holiness Church in Luray.

On March 30, 1933, she married Fred Sours, who preceded her in death. On June 29, 1963, she married Junior Buracker, who died on Dec. 28, 1993.

She is survived by three daughters, Peggy A. Pence of Stanley, and Doris Hoover and Hazel Hensley, both of Luray; a son, Dewey Sours of Stanley; a sister, Elizabeth Fellers of Luray; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosie Wilson; a son, Carroll Buracker; and two sisters, Gertie Cave and Bertha Buracker.

A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Harvest Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Terry Cave and Johnny Clements. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
