Jerry Eugene Ballard, 74, of Lebanon Junction, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at The Waters of Scottsburg Nursing Facility, in Scottsburg, Ind. Survivors include his wife, the former Iris L. Wilkes; four daughters, Jeri Dawn Crabtree, of Owensboro, Elaine Houston, of Shepherdsville, Cheryl Davis, of Louisville, and Talitha Zimmerman, of Eminence; and three sons, Sammy Ballard, of Lebanon Junction, Doug Timberlake, Lanesville, Ind., and Lenual Timberlake, of Shepherdsville. The funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction, with burial in KY Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. The Rev. Mike Rodgers will officiate. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home. Kappel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
