Viola Josephine Accito (Toots) was surrounded by loved ones and caregivers when she was taken by the Lord on August 25, 2015. Born October 13, 1916, she was 98 years young.

Viola was truly a divine giver as a daughter, sister, auntie, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Born in Centerville, Iowa, Viola moved to California where she married her best friend, Frank Accito on September 22, 1933. For the next 55 years, they built their lives around their work and children. Some of Viola's fondest memories included her family sitting around her holiday dining table as she loved to entertain and cook, working side by side her husband selling Christmas trees on the corner of Clark Avenue and Colusa Highway, working in the packing shed on Butte House Rd and Howlett Avenue and gardening. Viola loved working and her customers were her friends.

She is survived by her children and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Margarita and Angelo Zucco, her sisters, Mary and Angelina, her brothers, Augustine, Angelo and Louie, the love of her life, Frank Accito, and her son, Frank James Accito.

A rosary will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 5:00 PM at the Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Isidore's Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Sutter Cemetery.
