Marilyn Pearl Lasley, 76, passed away September 16, 2015, in American Falls, Idaho, after struggling with dementia. She was born on May 27, 1939, to Earl and Ormy Devine Allen.

She attended and graduated from American Falls High School. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many church callings, and enjoyed music and singing in the choir. She and Gail served an 18 month genealogical mission in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On April 10, 1959, she married her sweetheart Gail William Lasley in the Idaho Falls Temple, and were blessed with six children: Michael (Jan & Dennis Hill), Sara Burrell, Bill (Kristi), Becky (Rob) Farnsworth, Allan (Billie Jo), Donna (Greg) Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and oldest son. She leaves behind two brothers and four sisters: Joe (Marlene) Allen, Richard (Loida) Allen, Jude’ (Ronald) Makinson, Darlene (Wes) Adkins, Lee Etta (Don) Mead, and Lois (Jeff) Fitzloff, 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Marilyn loved being involved in the lives of her grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, singing and playing the piano. She always wore a smile and loved unceasingly and unconditionally. Her eyes and smile reflected her love of life and for those around her.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, September 22nd from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho Street, American Falls, and on Wednesday, September 23rd at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 3rd Ward, 650 Pocatello Avenue, American Falls.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 3rd Ward, 650 Pocatello Avenue, American Falls, Idaho to celebrate her life.
Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her sweet husband in the Rockland Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the graveside service at the LDS church in Rockland.
