Annie Jean Hawkins passed away September 17, 2015 in Corsicana Texas. She was born to Earlie Dean McCallum and Mary Lloyd Jones on August 1, 1928 in Dallas Texas at the original Parkland Hospital at Maple Ave. and Oaklawn. She grew up in east Dallas near East Grand Ave and would take the trolley to town to the movies with her cousins. Her favorite movie was Gone With The Wind and she could have been Scarlett Oโ€™Haraโ€™s twin sister, both being small in stature, strong willed, and very determined. Her main focus was family and she instilled the importance of close family ties.
She was predeceased by her parents, two husbands, daughter in law Cindy Cline, son in law John Brandy, and two grandsons. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Paul Hawkins; five children, Richard Cline (Patty), Lydia Brandy, Mark Cline (Judy), Tim Hawkins (Gerardo), and Jana Comyford (Carl). Also surviving are 14 grandkids, 22 great grandkids, and 2 great great grandkids. The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home for the wonderful care during her last months.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel in Corsicana with reception following at the home of Lydia Brandy.
