Mrs. Mary M. Tomlinson wife of Frank P. Tomlinson, of Altoona, and daughter of Michael Driscoll, of Allegheny township, died at her home in Altoona on Wednesday afternoon. On the morning of the 31st of May last, she was badly burned by the explosion of a lamp which she attempted to extinguish by blowing down the chimney -- Her clothing caught fire and was nearly burned off before her husband succeeded in extinguishing the flames by throwing a quilt around her. Since then she has been suffering severely and gradually growing weaker, until the end came on Wednesday afternoon. She leaves a husband and six children, the oldest sixteen and the youngest four years of age.
