Son to Michael and Annie (nee Curtis) Haley, brother to Agnes, Austin Michael, Catherine and Herbert. Thomas was a hand on the SS Forestmoor (London), a merchant vessel. Thomas was lost to the sea, as a result of an attack by an enemy submarine, on 5th Oct, 1917, off Cape Spartel, Morocco. He was 20 years old.
