Son of Thomas Robert Bonnick (1901 - 1985) and Florence L. Hotchkiss who were married in 1923, the marriage was registered in Solihull, Warwickshire (now West Midlands).

The funeral took place at Lapworth Parish Church on Saturday of A.C.2. Robert Frederick Bonnick, only son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Bonnick, of Windward House, Lapworth. Fred Bonnick joined the R.A.F. last September as a volunteer, and was training at a station in the North Midlands.

On Tuesday week he received fatal injuries when the lorry in which he was riding collided with another. Only a few days before, he had been home on a 24 hour leave. Fred Bonnick was born in Lapworth and had lived there all his life. After leaving school he was apprenticed to a Birmingham firm of plumbers. He was a happy young man and greatly liked. For several years he was a Boy Scout, later he joined the Home Guard, leaving that to join the A.T.C. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J. W. C. Moore.

Laid to rest on the 6th February.
