Mary C. Loeffler, 62, of Bloomington, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday (March 9, 2006) at Maple Ridge Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 12, 1943, in Clinton, a daughter of Virgil and Helene Cavendar Vance.


She is survived by two brothers, Jim (May) Vance, Farmer City, and Larry Vance, Champaign; two sisters, Linda (Harry) Piper, Wayne City, and Judy (Richard) Earl, Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


She was a member of the Moose Women's Chapter.


Mary worked at Eureka Co.in Bloomington and retired after 32 years. She later worked for Wackenhut as a security guard, where she made several close friends she cherished. They were her strength during her illness.
