"Albert J. Dubben, aged 59, of Schenevus, died on Wednesday at his home following a short illness. Mr. Dubben was a retired rural mail carrier who served in the Schenevus area for 32 years. He also operated a farm. Following his retirement from the postoffice in 1952, he continued farming. He was a member of the Rural Letter Carrier's Association, and the Schenevus Fire Department. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Raymond Dubben of Schenevus, and Ralph Dubben of Otego; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Abramson of Walton, Mrs. Gilbert Thomson of Oxford, and Mrs. Geary Whitman of Schenevus; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce Crawford of Otego, and Mrs. Mary Mahoney, of Port Crane; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the Bookhout Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lynn Brown, pastor of the Mill City Methodist Church of Mill City, Pa., officiating.
