Betty Lorraine Summers Poole, age 88, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born January 20, 1927, in Rigby a daughter to Joseph Benjamin and Nettie Leora Blanch Summers. She was raised in the Ririe area and attended the Clark School near Rigby. She married Keith Thomas Poole, November 18, 1942 in Menan. She worked in potato warehouses in Menan, as a waitress and was a good babysitter. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and crafts but most of all she enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by a daughter Connie (Jesse) Broyles of Ririe, two sons: Danny (Gayle) Poole of Shelley and Jerry (Patsy) Poole of Idaho Falls, a brother Bud (Shirlene) Summers of Rigby, 49 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith Thomas Poole, two sisters: Rita Barnes and Elain Christensen a brother Ralph Summers, two granddaughters Larraine Basset and Colleen Ball and two grandsons: Jeff Broyles and Kevin Maddock.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
