Mrs. Jackson died Friday, Oct. 12, in Clifton Sunset Ministries in Clifton.
She was born June 23, 1910, in the Gay Hill community near Rockdale to Emil and Bertha (Menn) Dornhoefer.
Mrs. Jackson lived all of her early life in the Gay Hill community working on her father’s farm and attending Hickory Grove School.
She was a lifelong Milam County resident and lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed.
Mrs. Jackson was also a member of the Town & Country Club.
She had worked as a nurse’s aide at Richards Memorial Clinic and Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress who quilted, did needlepoint, crochet, bead-making and fishing.
She married Walter Wenzel on Nov. 24, 1927, in Thorndale and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1969.
On March 10, 1972, she married Boyd Franklin Jackson in Seguin and he preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1986.
Mrs. Jackson was also preceded in death by a son, August Emil Wenzel on May 5, 2008; her parents; two brothers, Henry Dornhoefer and Walter Dornhoefer; and a sister, Hilda Gerstenberger.
Surviving are a daughter, Edna Wenzel Dietrich and husband D.R. of Waco; a daughter-inlaw, Gail Wenzel of San Antonio; five grandchildren, David Wenzel and wife Lori, Louis Wenzel and wife Ronda, all of San Antonio, Michael Wenzel and wife Janis of Stockdale, Giddings Dietrich and wife Rose of Austin, Jennifer Dietrich Lee and husband Keith of Westphalia; and 10 great-grandchildren Rachael, Regan and Bethani Lee, Steven, Benjamin, Mason, Holly, Jackson, Grace and Lydia Wenzel.
Pallbearers were David Wenzel, Louis Wenzel, Michael Wenzel,
Giddings Dietrich, Keith Lee and Steven Wenzel.
