Anna was the daughter of Benjamin F and Amanda Yeagle. At 19, she married Chester Dellinger of North Carolina, who was ten years older than she.

In 1930, Anna and Chester lived at 1103 East Chelten Avenue with their two daughters Anna and Virginia, and her mother Amanda. Chester was a collector and salesman in insurance.
