His goal in life was to raise his sons better than he was raised and for his sons to raise their children even better. He loved hard, physical work, and it showed as he built with his son a farm full of animals for his grandchildren and a home for his wife.
A memorial service will be held at Central Volunteer Fire Department, 950 Co. Rd. 279, today at 3 p.m.
Mr. Apger was preceded in death by his son, Christoffer Scott Apger, father, Woodrow "Woody" Apger, and CoraBell "Corky" Apger.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Loy Apger; son, Shaun David Apger (Kimberly); brother, Woodrow Lee Apger (Kolleen); sister, Rose Nanette Elbert (Thomas); and grandchildren, Ezmeralda, Lilyana, Alina and David Apger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central Volunteer Fire Department, 3240 Co. Rd. 5, Florence, AL 35633.
