Glen Burton Frick, 86, died on September 9, 2015 at Excelsior Springs Hospital. He was born March 4, 1929, in Liberty, MO, and graduated from Liberty High School in 1947. He began working at Farmland Industries at this time, eventually rising to the rank of Foreman and working there for 32 years until his retirement in 1979.

Burton served his country in the Navy from 1951-1955. During this time he made four trips to Korea, serving as a Radioman Third Class on the USS Laws, where one of his main responsibilities was sending messages in Morse code.

Faith and family were the cornerstones of Burton's life. He married Oddie Pauline Dillon on June 4, 1949, and their 66 years of marriage were filled with love and many rich memories. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Providence Baptist Church, where Burton and Pauline were members for most of their lives. Burton could always be counted on for a kind word, a listening ear, and a good laugh.

Burton was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Amelia Frick; brother, Ervin Frick; and sister, Louise Dillon.

In addition to his wife Pauline, Burton is survived by five children, Gwen Morris (Jack) of Shawnee Mission, KS, Dennis Frick (Donna) of Liberty, Dan Frick (Becci) of Liberty, Linda Artz (Bob) of Scott City, KS, and Stephen Frick (Janet) of Athens, GA.

Ten grandchildren, Ken Morris (Cindy), Cindy Bredehoeft (Brian), Tim Morris, Amanda Rouse (Tim), Melissa Frick, Josh Frick, Parker Ebling-Artz (Hannah), Leah Artz, Colin Frick and Melanie Frick.
