Kathy A. Leiter, 56, of Mifflintown passed away in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County from injuries received in an automobile accident on Friday, September 4, 2015.
Born on November 9, 1958 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is the daughter of Mona B. (Breon) Filler of Mifflintown and the late Charles A. Filler, Sr. On May 12, 1979 she married her late husband Jacob L. “Jake” Leiter with whom she shared more than 35 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 7, 2015.
Surviving are her children, Mikel Leiter, Sr. and his wife Bridget, of Thompsontown, Carey Moore and her husband Robert, Jr., of Mifflin, siblings, Charles A. “Chuck” Filler, Jr. and his wife Carol, Robert W. Filler, Sr., Tammey Nealman and her husband Charles, Jr., all of Mifflintown, and she leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Darren, Taylor, Mikel, Jr., Sway, and Sophia.
One sister, Cindy Lou Filler, preceded her in death.
In 1976 she graduated from Juniata High School, Mifflintown and she was a home maker.
Kathy enjoyed reading and taking care of her dog Duke; however she loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating.
