Daughter of Pioneer Residents is Dead.
Mrs. Bertha Pappan Baconrind Endicott, 61, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pappan, pioneer residents of Kay county, died Sunday in St. Mary's hospital, Winfield, after a long illness.
She was the wife of Vernie R. Endicott, Newkirk, who survives. Other survivors are a son, George Baconrind, Wichita; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ben Simpkins, Mrs. Ogela Stafford, Miss Dollie Pappan and a brother, Walter Pappan, all of Newkirk.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Francis Catholic Church, at Newkirk with the Rev. Walch officiating. Burial will be in the Newkirk cemetery. Webber funeral home is in charge.
