Rose Isabell Balthazor
Birth date: March 24, 1912
Death date: August 08, 2004

Rose Isabell Balthazor, age 92, Wittenberg, formerly of the town of Elderon, Marathon County, died Sunday, August 8, 2004 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.

She was born on March 24, 1912 in Aniwa, daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Mondl) Lex.

On September 24, 1940 Rose was united in marriage to Lester Balthazor in Aniwa. He survives.

After marriage the couple operated a dairy farm in the Town of Elderon until their retirement. Rose was an active member of Holy Family-St. Williams Parish and its Christian Mothers Society and also the Elderon Homemakers Club. She enjoyed visiting family and friends and especially spending time with the homebound.

In addition to her husband Lester, she is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Ken) Stockinger, Eland; one son, Ron (Sue) Balthazor, Eland; seven grandchildren, Brenda (Paul) Ostrowski, Collette (Jake) Merrill, Shannon Balthazor, Brant Balthazor, Chad, Travis, and Shawna Stockinger; two sisters, Caroline Koeppel, Phlox and Eunice Winger, St. Paul, MN and two brothers, George (Alice) Lex, Antigo and Joe (Ardell) Lex, Birnamwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Richard, one daughter, Rose in infancy and one sister, Katie Kautza.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 PM , on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at the Homme Home Chapel, Wittenberg. Father John Girotti will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Wittenberg. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of services at the chapel. Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Memorials in Rose's name to the "Homme Hunnies," in care of Homme Home of Wittenberg or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
