PFAFFTOWN - Mr. Stephen Donald Vuksanovich, 78, of Pfafftown passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Vuksanovich was born October 29, 1933 in Slovan, PA to the late Nicholas and Mary Vanats Vuksanovich. He attended the Naval Academy and attended the University of Louisville while in the Army and graduated from Washington & Jefferson College. Mr. Vuksanovich was a member of St. Leo's the Great Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked for Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for 42 years, coached Pop Warner football and worked with the youth sports program. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred. He is survived by his wife, Tina Vuksanovich of the home; daughters, Mary Kay Vuksanovich of King, NC, Elyse Neuwirth (Bryan) of Conover, NC, Susie Greene (Ron) of Wilmington, NC; sister, Denise Cline (Gary) of Burgettstown, PA; seven grandchildren, Brandon Vuksanovich, Colyn, Ashtyn, Camdyn and Adasyn Neuwirth, Austin and Madison Greene; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo's the Great Catholic Church with Father Cook officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Memorials may be made to The Knights of Columbus, 335 Springdale Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27104 or to Birthright of Winston-Salem , 1330 Ashley Square, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
