Jim passed peacefully under the excellent care of Seton Hospital in Kyle, Texas surrounded by family and friends.
He retired from Hart Graphics Printing Company after 37 years of service. He served in the US Army for 6 years. Jim was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Buda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Curtis Gipson, Frank Gipson, sisters Winona Murdock Austin, Norma Ruth Pearce, and Ada Nell Devers.
He is survived by wife Nita Gipson, daughter Lisa Alana Gipson, brother Bob Gipson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral service will be at Harrell Funeral Homes in Kyle. Graveside Service will follow at Rocky Creek Cemetery, west of Johnson City, Texas.
