"Carl" married Lula Rae Barber Cannon in 1926 in Caldwell County, North Carolina. They resided in Granite Falls, Caldwell County.
Carl and Lula had six children; they were Margaret Christine, Ruby Louise (or Lucille?), "J. C.", Laura Jane, Coy Wilson, and Pauline Cannon.
After Lula's death in 1973, Carl was remarried in 1974, to Annie Coleen Hollar.
