Edward S. Hulvey a retired creamery worker died on May 17, 1962 at St. Joseph Hospital, Bloomington, Illinois.

He was born on April 29, 1880 at Cootes Store, Virginia, a son of Solomon and Katherine Ritchie Hulvey. He married Etta B. Maddux on August 19, 1904 in Bloomington, Illinois. She died in 1943. He then married Hattie Esep on August 19, 1944 at Tiffin, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter Mrs. William Gray of Normal, Illinois; a son, Spacy Hulvey of Decatur, Illinois; a sister Anne Sculoch of Lexington, Illinois; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Six brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.
