Mary Gresl Sawyer a former resident of Olympia died Sunday in her home in Seattle. Mrs. Sawyer was bom in McCall, Idaho September 11, 1906 and moved west to Castle Rock in 1910. She came to Olympia in 1925. Her former husband George Gresl died in 1960. She later married Vernon S. Sawyer in Seattle. Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Mrs. Emma E. Cooper, Yelm, two brothers, John Cooper, Forest Grove, Oregon and Alvin Cooper, Yelm, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Fordham, Seattle and Mrs. Frances Jones, Olympia. A funeral service win be held in the Mills and Mills chapel this Wednesday afternoon starting at one o'clock. The Reverend K R Oldham will officiate. Cremation will follow.
