Grover Parker Killed in Fall
Grover Parker, 75, former Choteau farmer, was killed Saturday afternoon when he fell from a ten-foot high scaffold when it broke at Polson. He and a companion had been putting siding on a house when the scaffold broke. Death was attributed to a broken neck.
Parker was born July 28, 1887, at Bakersville, N.C. He came to Choteau in 1912 and farmed in this area until his retirement in 1945, when he moved to Polson.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Polson. Services were also held here in Choteau this afternoon, and burial was in Choteau cemetery.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul of Havre and Grover of Whitefish, and one sister of Kalispell.
