Harold D. Alsup, 78, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2005.
Harold, born in Sanders, Kentucky, having served in World War II. He was a deacon of Milton (KY) Baptist Church, a member of Bedford Loan and Deposit board of directors, a retired farmer and a former Trimble County (KY) magistrate.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Shimfessel Alsup; one daughter, Jan Joyce of Trimble County; sons, Jon Alsup of Milton and Rodney Alsup of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Gretchen Mansfield of Evansville, Indiana, Matthew Joyce of Lexington, Kentucky, Christopher Joyce of Trimble County, Mason Alsup of Carrollton, Kentucky and Heather and Josh Alsup of Milton; great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Mansfield of Evansville; and two sisters, Dorothy Barnett of New Castle, Kentucky and Louise Somers of Evansville.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday February 21, 2005, at Milton Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2005, and 10 a.m.-noon Monday at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford.

Harold D. Alsup, 78, of Trimble County, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005.
He was born April 24, 1926, in Sanders, Ky., the son of Harry Goebel and Gretchen N. Clore Alsup. He was a retired farmer and a former Trimble County magistrate. He was a member and deacon of the Milton, Ky., Baptist Church; a member of the Bedford Loan & Deposit Bank Board of Directors; and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Billie Shimfessel Alsup; one daughter, Jan Joyce of Trimble County; two sons, Jon Alsup of Milton and Rodney Alsup of Atlanta; two sisters, Dorothy Barnett of New Castle, Ky., and Louise Somers of Evansville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were to be at 2 p.m. today at the Milton Baptist Church.
