Gladys Coralee Francis Johnson was the youngest of the four children born to Corine Gibson Francis and Ernest Weekly Francis in Norfolk Virginia.

She was a homemaker, however, in her younger years she helped support her family as a private laundress.
At age 76, Gladys passed this life. Although her husband Leonard Johnson and one son, Lawrence Linwood Henderson predeceased her, she left to celebrate her legacy a large and loving family including: a son; a daughter-in-law; two sisters; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six nieces; and one nephew.
