A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Vanderveer St. Church of Christ in Burnet, Texas. Interment will follow at Mohomet Cemetery, Mohomet, Texas.
Born in Raymondville TX on May 5, 1932, she has always been regarded as the sweetest woman in the world and has never had a harsh word spoken about her. She loved the Lord greatly and was the epitome of a good Christian woman. She was so full of love and laughter and lived for and loved all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her children and her family but we are at peace with her going home to be her Lord, husband and family. Heaven has gained a true angel.
Emma is preceded in death by her husband, 1 month ago, of over 60 yrs. Joe W. Acuff from Chattanooga TN; her parents, Buel and Maggie Knox of Bertram TX; and her sister, Allene Knox of Bertram TX.
She is the beloved mother of son, Hollis Acuff of Dallas TX; daughter, Michelle Acuff of Dallas TX; and grandson, Cory Daniel Acuff Rollins of VA.
She has many siblings, cousins and other family members as well as many many dear friends all over.
