Pearl S. Marine age 89 of Maryville passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at Asbury Place of Maryville.

She retired from U.T. Medical Center as a baker and dietician. Pearl was an avid quilter and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Preceded in death by: Husband, Carl Walker Marine; Son, Gene Starkey; Sister, Helen Henry; Parents, Freeman & Ola Starkey.

Survivors include: Children & Spouses, J.C. & Carolyn Starkey of Sevierville, Sara Ellen & Robert Wayne Smith of Maryville, Johnny "Carl" & Georgia Marine of Grove, OK, Debbie Whinnery of AR, and Randy & Beth Marine of Maryville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family also survive.

Family and friends will assemble for a Celebration of Pearl's Life at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

Celebration will continue with good food and fellowship following the graveside at The Life Event Center, 1404 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803.
