OBITUARY
Margie Lou Myrick McGee, age 85, of Odessa,Texas,departed to her heavenly home August 29,2015.
Margie was born in Jayton,Texas,February 24,1930 to Weldon Haskeland Lou Belle Lee Myrick.At the age of 4.Margie was first prizewinner of Baby Show Palace in Jayton,Texas.She attended school in Jayton, where she played on the girls High School Basketball team.Later she was Jayton's phone operator,connecting the party lines between Jayton,Aspermont,Spur and Clairmont,Texas.
Margie married Bill McGee in Jayton,Texas,March 17,1952.They moved to Odessa,Texas calling it home for 63 years.Margie loved to fish and had a passion for horses.She also loved to research Genealogy.Her favorite music was that of her Brother Weldon's steele guitar.She retired from the Sear's catalog Dept.Her parents,her brothers,Texie Gene Myrick and Weldon Merle Myrick,granddaughter,Shelly Kay Smith and son-in0laws,Wayne Smith and Jim Pendelton,precede Margie in death.
Margie is survived by her husband,Bill McGee of Odessa;daughter Sheila Kay Pendelton of Norman,Oklahoma;Son,Bill McGee Jr. of Gardendale,Texas:grandsons,Preston and his wife Lisa McGee of Midland,Texas,Jarrod and his wife Tabitha McGee of Houston,Texas;Great Grandchildren,Liam and Kaylee of Midland,Texas,Faith of Houston,Texas;Sister-in-law,JudiMyrick of Nashville,Tennessee
