Mrs. Betty Gillman, 83, a lifetime resident of Baisdentown, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital following an illness.

Born July 24, 1890, at Baisdentown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Baisden and Eliza Lafferty Baisden. Her husband, Dock Gillman, also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Baisdentown Church of God.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Evans of Baisdentown, and one son, James Ersel Gillman of Okeechobee, Florida.

Funeral services were conducted at the Baisdentown Church of God by the Rev. Elmo Fannin. Burial followed in the Baisden Cemetery in Baisdentown.
