Mary Jayne Simmons, 95, of Sullivan, formerly of Maroa, died 8:10 p.m. Sunday in Mason Point, Sullivan.
Mary was born October 4, 1911 in Maroa, the daughter of Marion and Ida Cremeans Allen. Mary was married to Ernest Samuel Simmons on March 18, 1950 in Hammond, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Lynne D. (Terry) Cobb; sister, Dorothy (Lyle) Young; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Bertha Adams, Freda Dial and Helen Carter.
She had worked as a cashier for Moorehouse and Wells Hardware, Decatur and Lincoln Laboratories in Forsyth. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Decatur.
