She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and six children, three sons and three daughters, Mrs D.C. Davis, Elizabeth, Lela, Jacob, Fustuf and Charles Kaisand. She also had one son John who died at the age of three. Besides her husband and children she leaves behind nine grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters and a host of friends
For the past two years she had been in failing health. About two months ago she was taken suddenly worse and from that time declined very rapidly. She realized all thru her illness that there was no hope of recovery yet she bore her suffering cheerfully and patiently to the end with the utmost faith in her Savior to whom alone she looked for relief. She was born and reared in the Lutheran faith but upon her removal to Grinnell 6 years ago there was no church of her faith within convenient reach, so in i 1914 she became a member of the Congregational Church which she attended regularly until the time of her failing health. She was always a helpful wife, a kind and loving mother and always ready to lend a helping hand in the time of need.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the home by Rev E.W. Cross. The pallbearers were six nephews, Charles and Joe Hellmayer, John and Henry Ahrens, Conrad and John Kaisand, Charles Heilmayer and his sister Christina came from Searsboro to attend the services. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery
