GLEN ROSE -- Billie Jo Haynes, 76, formerly of Lawn, died Sunday, August 06, 2006, in Cherokee Rose Manor in Glen Rose.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2006 in Lawn Baptist Church, with Reverend Price Mathieson officiating. Burial will be in Oplin Cemetery, directed by Fry - Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., today at the funeral home.

Billie was born November 1, 1929, in Oplin to Cal and Myrtle Slaughter Poindexter. She married Darrell Haynes February 5, 1949, in Abilene. She moved to Lawn in 1950 where she owned and operated Billie's Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of Lawn Baptist Church, loved to travel and enjoyed the Grand Ole Oplin dance group. She moved to Glen Rose in 2003.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband in 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam Baker and husband Billy Paul of Glen Rose and Paula Baugus of Abilene; two grandsons, Paul Baker and Bailey Baugus; several other relatives and a host of friends.
