Mr. J. C. Crouch
Mr. J. C. Crouch, 79, of Fountain Hill, died Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at the Cleveland County Nursing Home in Rison.
A native of Hector and a resident of Fountain Hill for over 50 years, he retired from the Georgia-Pacific Plywood Mill in 1985.
A member of the Eden Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ophia Crouch in 1994; his parents, William & Margaret McGehee Crouch, four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald Keith Crouch of Tyler, TX, and Jay Clint Crouch of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Doris Jean Lawrence of Pine Bluff; a brother, Willis Crouch of Monticello; a sister, Ouide Miller of Crossett; nine grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with Rev. Lane Amos officiating. Pallbearers were Joey Crouch, Matthew, Adam & Chris Lawrence, Butch Yates & James "Bud" Dawson. Honorary pallbearer was Harold Hollis. Interment followed services at the Flat Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cleveland County Nursing Home Memorial Fund, 508 Magnolia Street, Rison, AR 71665.
