Madison - Mr. Harold M. Gartmann age 43 of 1130 Debra La. died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 4, 1979 of an apparent heart attack. He was born on February 17, 1936 at Kromwetter, Wisconsin and has been a Madison resident for the past 7 years. Mr. Gartmann was employed as a mechanic of the Farmers Implement Company for 3 years. He was an Airforce Veteran serving from 1954 to 1974, when he retired as a Technical Sargent. Survivors include his wife the former Alice L. Rist, who he married on June 28, 1958. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters at home; a son at home; a stepfather Frank Hoover of Milwaukee; four sisters; five brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home 2418 North Sherman Ave. at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 9. The Reverend Richard McDowell officiating. Burial will be in the Blooming Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home from 7 until 9 from Sunday, July 8 and again on Monday until time of service.
