Glen E. Anderson, 77, of Grinnell died of multi-system organ failure and complications of an aneurysm Friday, March 9, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

The son of Simon and Alpha Smith Anderson, he was born July 3, 1923, in Kellogg. He was raised in the Kellogg area and was a 1942 graduate of Kellogg High School.

H was married to Irene King May 19, 1945, at her parents' farm home near Grinnell. They farmed for a year west of Grinnell and for 17 years north of Gilman prior to moving to a farm south of Kellogg in 1963. The couple moved to Newton in 1977 and to Seeland Park in Grinnell in 1999.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Kellogg Christian Church and the Kellogg Historical Society.

Surviving are his wife; one brother, James of Grinnell; and two sisters, Grace Adams of Malcom and Dorothy Koger of Everett, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Roy, Joe and Clifford; and one sister, Laurine Wickersham.
