Jacob Hagah Loveall was born in Carlyle, Noble Co., Ohio June 15, 1841. Passed away at his home in De Soto, Oct. 19, 1920, aged 79 years, 4 months & 4 days. He was one of 7 children of Abigah and Sarah Loveall.
He enlisted in the Civil War at the age of eighteen years and served to the end of the war. After the war he left Ohio and spent most of his time in Montana and Washington in the mining camps. He came to De Soto, Kansas, in 1914. He was married to Mrs. Matilda Shannon of this place on March 19, 1917. This happy union lasted only a short time for she was called to Heavenly home Mar. 11, 1920.
He leaves to mourn his loss one brother, Luchion Loveall of Noble County, Ohio and one sister, Mrs. Wm. Hiddleston of De Soto and a host of relatives and friends.
