Mr. Monroe Abernathy, age 68 of Fayette, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1-P.M. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
He worked as a carpenter for many years in Fayette and surrounding counties.
He was preceded in death by parents; Eulie W. Abernathy and Lula M. Abernathy; brother, Clayton M. Abernathy sister, Alice Abernathy Cargile, brother's-in-law, Amon A. Howard and Gilbert McCarley.
He is survived by his wife and two sisters.
