She was born in Altmar, NY in 1911. She lived in New York City, Buffalo and moved to Vero Beach from Utica, NY, in 1973. She received her Christian education from Union College in Schenectady, NY. She was Director of Education for Calvary Episcopal Church in Utica, NY. Conny hosted the Party Time television show and others on NBC Network for several years, beginning in 1949. She was actually among the pioneers of the television screen. Conny also was a talented artist. Her paintings are in public and personal collections throughout the United States. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, the Florida Council of the Blind, and a Charter member of the Shipmates of the Vero Beach Yacht Club. Survivors include daughter Carol Mattison Fuller, stepdaughters, Susan Peterson Jones of Vero Beach, and Nancy Peterson of Frisco, CO., sister Emily Maglione of Richmond, VA grandsons Lance Johnson of CT, and Scott Johnson of VA., step-grandsons Jason Colley and Isaac Colley of CO, and Jayme Wright of Orlando and six great-grandchildren; nieces Joyce Dewitt of NY and Tamara Virginia of VA. Her husband, Sherman M. Peterson, predeceased her in death in 1991. SERVICES: A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday August 5, 2006, at the Strunk Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Timothy Womack officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery and arrangements by Strunk Funeral Home.
