Willard Willis Gravatt, age 82, died unexpectedly on Monday morning in a local hospital. He was born on September 19, 1875, in Marion County, Iowa, and came to Eureka about a month ago from Willits where he had resided for the past 20 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leona Brink and Mrs. Frances Summers, both of Tacoma, Wash.; six sons, Robert Gravatt of Eureka, Harold Gravatt of Quinault Lake, Wash., Ralph Gravatt of Salem, Ore., Calvin Gravatt of Tenino, Wash., and John Gravatt of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Austin Gravatt of Elma, Wash.; thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at Cooper Mortuary Chapel of the Ferns. Inurnment will follow in the Sanctuary of Peace at Ocean View Cemetery.
