Joseph William Koch, born on October 4, 1919 in D'Hanis, Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. For his family he was truly an example of our Christian faith.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Stephan Koch and Louise Mandry Koch; sister, Marie Koch Bendele; brothers, Guenther, George, Herbert, Francis, and Edward Koch; and grandson, Christopher Grothues. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Biry Koch of San Antonio; son, Kenneth Koch and wife, Pixie of San Antonio; daughters, Yvonne Grothues and husband, Bill of Dallas, Carol Ann Rogers and husband, Larry of San Antonio, Betty Jean Greene and husband, Jim of Austin, Mary Elaine King and husband, Phil of San Antonio; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

SERVICES
Visitation will be held on Friday-February 16, 2007 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, with a Rosary recited at 7:00PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday-February 17, 2007 at 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst, San Antonio, TX 78213, with Msgr. Michael O'Gorman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, 17501 Nacogdoches, San Antonio, TX, 78266. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, 8931 Callaghan Rd., San Antonio, TX 78230 or to the Assumption Seminary, 2600 W.
