She was born Dec. 15, 1918 in Haralson County to the late Herman Winston and Pluma Witt.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul Witt; sisters, Ruby Wilkerson, Jessie Mae Harris and Lois Varnum.
She is survived by her husband, Otis Calder Smith, to whom she was married for 68 years; a daughter, Sandra Smith Williams; sisters, Pauline Cochran, Mary Forrister and Geneva Forrister; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with the Minister James Nelson officiating. Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery.
