Funeral services for Lola Hallman Clark, 96, Wills Point, were held at 4 p.m. September 27 in the LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev Donald Tisdale officiating.

Burial was in the White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

Mrs. Clark died September 25 in a Wills Point nursing home after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 21, 1895, in Wills Point to Lura Hobbs and Samuel King Hallman. She graduated from the Baylor College of Nursing in 1918.

November 14, 1937, she married Henry Clark in Manila, Philippines. Both she and her husband were interned from 1942 through 1945 as prisoners of war by the Japanese in the Santo Tomas Prison in Manila. They were liberated in 1945 when the Americans captured Manila. Clark preceded his wife in death shortly after being liberated.
