Dolores I. Esh, 90, of Erie County Line Rd., Corry, Pa., died on Friday, August 28, 2015, at her residence. She was born on May 10, 1925, in Shickley, Neb., a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Augustine Troyer.

Dolores moved to Spartansburg, Pa., with her family when she was 12 years old and attended local schools. As a young woman, Dolores worked for a short time in Union City at the Chair Factory. Following her marriage, her main priority was caring for her family and home. She worked as a custom quilt maker from 1970 to the mid 1990's.

Dolores and her husband wintered in Webster, Florida for over 25 years. She was a member of the Valley View Mennonite Church in Spartansburg. Dolores sang with the church music groups, was a member of WMSC at the church and served on the Women’s Mission and several other committees. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death on January 7, 2010, by her husband, John S. Esh, whom she married on April 27, 1947 in Britton Run, Pa.; a son, Stanley J. Esh; a sister, Wynona Harrington, a brother, Lyle Troyer, and granddaughter, Dee Esh and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Esh.

Dolores is survived by three daughters, Cheryl A. Zimmerman and her husband Aaron of Goshen, Ind., Debra K. Esh and Diane Esh, both of Corry, Pa.; and four sons, Donald R. Esh and his wife Christy of Spartansburg, Pa., Kenneth L. Esh and his wife Sherri of Spartansburg, Pa., Robert E. Esh and his wife Janet of Corry, Pa., and Kevin A. Esh and his wife Rhonda of St. Cloud, Fla. She is also survived by a sister, Wilma Dean and her husband Richard of Spartansburg, Pa.; two brothers, Maynard Troyer and his wife Dorothy of Corry, Pa., and Lawrence Troyer and his wife Evelyn of Goshen, Ind.; 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the Valley View Mennonite Church, 24313 State Highway 89/ 77, Spartansburg, Pa., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 12 noon. Dolores’ son, Pastor Robb Esh will officiate. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery.
