SPRINGFIELD – Mamie I. Adams, 91, of Springfield, formerly of Chesterfied, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Wayne County, the daughter of George W. and Grace (Hearn) Foster. She married Robert H. Adams on July 2, 1949, in Morganfield, Ky.; he died Nov. 11, 1996.
She was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Christian Church and Plainview Order of the Eastern Star 665.
Survivors include four daughters and their husbands; a son and his wife; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; a sister,; and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Carl Foster; and sister, Inez Stover.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Krumrei officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Chesterfield Cemetery.
Memorials are designated to Parkway Christian Church in Springfield.
