Dallas Jackson Davis, aged 73, formerly of Chicora, died at his home 637 John St., New Castle, at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Mr Davis was born in Butler Co., Oct 4, 1890, {sic-1873} the son of Lemuel and Elvina Smith Davis. He was the husband of Fronie Kaylor Davis, daughter of Peter and Mary Ann Kaylor of Chicora.
Surviving are a son, Wallie Davis of New Castle; an adopted daughter, Mrs Mary Beck of Grafton, W. Va; and a brother, Nelson Davis of Pittsburgh.
The body was removed to the Boyd funeral home in New Castle where friends are be received.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon the the Rev. Oliver Hurst pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating.
Burial will be made in Greenland cemetery.
NOTE: There is no Greenland Cemetery. It is assumed to be Graceland since his children are buried here also.
